Do Face Lift Creams Work and How?

Mother was right. As we age, the skin is the first thing to go! Wrinkles, laugh lines, and crow’s feet can make us look dated and put a real damper on the way that we feel about ourselves. But what’s a girl to do if she can’t afford or doesn’t want to undergo the risks involved with having a surgical procedure like a face lift?

How does a face lift at home sound? Quite a few face lift creams have recently hit the market (at surprisingly affordable prices) and are an alternative to surgical methods used to enhance the appearance of the face, eliminate fine lines and wrinkles and create youthful skin.

Alternative to Invasive Treatments

Treatments such as Botox and microdermabrasion can be very invasive, time-consuming and costly. And the results are no more lasting than many of the face lift creams on the market. Beware however, most face lifts creams fall under the cosmetic category and thus aren’t regulated by the US Food and Drug Administration.

How Face Lift Creams Work & Why They Are Better Than Surgery

Face lift cream products contain acetyl hexapeptide, an amino acid, which is also known as Argireline. It is a clinically safe and proven ingredient that can reduce the signs of wrinkles and fine lines around the mouth, eyes and forehead without the use of painful injections or time consuming and expensive surgeries.

Acetyl hexapeptide reduces the amount of nerve stimulation in the area. As a result it smoothes the skin and reduces wrinkles. Acetyl hexapeptide is unlike alpha hydroxy acids, which can cause long term damage because it actually peels off the first layer of skin. If you do choose a procedure like Botox, creams with acetyl hexapeptide are known to prolong the results of Botox.

Face lift creams are much like moisturizers and are usually applied once or twice a day (morning and night). Little is needed because most face lift creams are highly concentrated. In the first month of treatment, most companies claim that you will see 30% fewer wrinkles. If you are on a budget, face lift creams can be an effective method as opposed to costly surgical and non-surgical cosmetic enhancement procedures.

Although the costs of face lift creams vary, most usually range between $20 to $80. Face lift procedures can cost thousands of dollars, and you may need a touch up in 5 to 10 years. Botox sessions can cost around $400, and you will need to maintain the injections. Other Ingredients

In addition to acetyl hexapeptide, there are numerous products with helpful ingredients to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles and give the skin a youthful glow. Hyaluronic acid, green tea extracts and glycol-ceramides are all ingredients that can be found in popular face lift creams.
